Trudging through the snowy woods with snowshoes, building igloos, following tracks, learning the survival strategies of different animals, experiencing another dimension of time, recollecting oneself... Winter is the time of rest and repose in nature. We offer alternatives for all those who long for the unspoiled and for tranquillity.

The winter excursion, which is organised by the tourist board and the administration of the National Park Hohe Tauern, does not require any previous knowledge. Stamina and pleasure in the winter scenery are sufficient. Equipment such as snowshoes, avalanche beepers, etc. are provided by the  administration of the National Park.
