Hiking in Neukirchen at the Grossvenediger

Hiking in Neukirchen at the Grossvenediger and enjoying the wonderful panorama around Gasthof Siggen makes you forget about your cares of everyday life. Enjoy nature as it is, conquer one of the surrounding mountain giants, relax and have a picnic while watching the cattle on the mountain pastures.

Wandern in Neukirchen am Großvenediger

  • Hiking tours for the whole family with different levels of difficulty
  • Mountain hikes for practiced hikers; our inn at the entrance of the Obersulzbach valley is the trailhead to the peak of the Grossvenediger in Salzburg.
  • Some of the most recommended destinations in our vicinity are Berndlalm, Postalm, Kürsinger hut, Seebachsee, Wildkogel, Steinkogel, Grosser Rettenstein.

We also recommend the hiking tours offered by the National Park Hohe Tauern:

In the time from July to September, between Monday and Saturday, you can choose between 26 different hiking tours guided by a National Park guard. No matter if you want to go on an easy or difficult tour, if you are interested in wild animals or herbs, if you want to learn more about the fauna and flora of the surrounding high mountains, about the glaciers or the historical evidences for trading and mining - there will definitely be something that meets your expectations. Furthermore there are 5 special excursions on additional dates, as for example a tour for nature photographers, a tour including one night at a mountain lake or watching a red deer stag rut.

For all guests with a guest card particular hikes and guided tours are free of charge. Guest card holders get a discount on all other offers by the National Park Hohe Tauern.
